PBPrep Bookfull-stack interview

Appendix — Documents & Questions to Ask

A. Documents Checklist

Bring physical copies even for remote interviews — sometimes HR follows up immediately and asks for soft copies. Prepare both PDFs and printed sets.

Required

  • Resume — 3–5 printed copies, latest PDF on phone/laptop.
  • Government photo ID — Aadhaar / Passport / Driving Licence.
  • PAN card (copy).
  • Passport-size photos — 2–4.

Education

  • 10th marksheet & certificate.
  • 12th marksheet & certificate.
  • Degree marksheets (all semesters).
  • Degree certificate / provisional certificate.

Employment

  • Hyscaler: offer letter, latest salary slips (last 3 months), Form 16 (if available).
  • Technoboot Pvt Ltd: experience letter, relieving letter.
  • Current employer CTC proof — appointment letter or latest salary slip.

Optional but Useful

  • Bank statement (last 3 months) — for salary verification.
  • Project links — GitHub, deployed apps, Postman collections.
  • Laptop (charged) + charger — for live coding if asked.
  • Pen + notebook for system-design drawings.

💡 Keep all of the above in a single folder titled "TCS_Interview_" — soft copies in Drive, hard copies in a sleeve. Speed and tidiness signal preparedness.

B. Questions to Ask the Interviewer

Asking good questions signals seniority and genuine interest. Pick 2–3 from below — never zero.

About the Role

  1. "What kind of projects does this team typically work on?"
  2. "How is the team currently structured — full-stack engineers, separate frontend/backend, or mixed?"
  3. "What does success look like in this role at the 3-month and 6-month mark?"
  4. "What's the typical day-to-day balance between coding, code reviews, and meetings?"

About the Stack & Practices

  1. "What's the tech stack in production today, and is there appetite to evolve it?"
  2. "How do code reviews, deployments, and on-call work here?"
  3. "What's the test culture — what does CI look like?"
  4. "How do you handle technical debt — dedicated time, opportunistic, or hackathons?"

About Growth

  1. "What are the growth opportunities for full-stack engineers — both technical (senior / staff) and managerial?"
  2. "What internal learning or certification programs are available?"

About the Team / Culture (later rounds)

  1. "What's the most exciting problem your team has solved recently?"
  2. "What kind of engineer thrives here, in your experience?"
  3. "What's the biggest challenge facing the team right now?"

Closing the Loop

  1. "What are the next steps in the process?"
  2. "Is there anything you'd like me to clarify or expand on from this conversation?"

💡 Tailor questions to whom you're talking to. Ask HR about process, perks, growth tracks. Ask engineering managers about team and stack. Ask future peers about day-to-day and culture.

C. Smart Wrap-Up Lines

End your interview confidently:

"Thanks for walking me through this. Based on what we discussed, I'm even more interested in this role. I'd love to know what the next steps are."

If they ask whether you have any concerns:

"No major concerns — what stood out to me was [specific thing they mentioned]. I'm looking forward to potentially being part of it."

Keep it short. The point is to stay top of mind without being pushy.

Final reminder: You already have the skills. The interview is a test of whether you can show them clearly under pressure. Get sleep. Eat. Drink water. Walk in tall.

You've got this. 🚀
